Trichy Exhibition

The annual-Architect Lecture Series is an initiative by C.A.R.E School of Architecture, Trichy, to present renowned architects and aims at showcasing Context, Climate and Culture related initiatives as an essential and integral part of all design endeavors. 2014 was the first year where an exhibition of the architects work accompanied the talk. It was started in 2012 when Muhammad Rafiq Azam was invited to initiate the lecture series. Followed by Sanjay Bharatwaj, Vasanthan and Kannan in 2013 and then by Aniket Bhagwat in 2014. Our office did an exhibition of works along with the lecture. It showed 24 projects, hence the name of the exhibition “24 intercessions” and the lecture was titled “Spelt in Black and White- This is it”.

A tradition was set thereafter. A better way of understanding the design philosophy of the architect was permanently established. Projects done by the architect are exhibited in detail with abstractions and illustrations through models and photographs. It really allowed the students to explore, understand, absorb and spend time in contemplation. Sanjay Mohe was invited to exhibit his works in the following year and the synergy of the event has continued to impact young design minds ever since.
